The cuisine of the Piz Arlara Restaurant is faithful to the Tyrolean cooking traditions, based on premium ingredients, yet with a creative and innovative approach. It turns every lunch into a gastronomic experience, expressing through food the South Tyrolean culture, nature and identity.

Among the dishes able to excite the palates there are various types of dumplings, spätzle, homemade ravioli, beef goulash, turtres, rosticciata. But also soups and homemade pastas, ribs and shanks, rösti and polenta from Storo, the skier's platter and the famous Piz Arlara pan-served specialities. The ingredients leave nothing to be desired: all of them are of the highest quality and mainly from South Tyrol, such as speck, cured meats and excellent cheeses. The cuisine always tends to use seasonal products. A special delight is game, provided by a trusted local hunter. Its availability, however, is limited to certain times of the year. So pay attention to daily specials, that sometimes reveal extraordinary culinary treats. Anyway, there is obviously no lack of classic dishes and Mediterranean recipes. Particular account is taken of the specific needs of guests with food allergies or intolerances.

A different approach, but the same high quality is offered by the Bistro L'Pom (winter opening): short menu, simple and fresh ingredients and a perfectly matching wine list. Moreover, a wide choice of hot drinks, cocktails and aperitifs.

The result, in any case, is a gastronomic experience, hardly available elsewhere, that interprets the surrounding territory with taste and elegance.

At Piz Arlara even the most demanding palates will be satisfied thanks to the gourmet dishes, created for our restaurant by Michelin-starred chefs, participating in the projects "Peaks of gastronomy" and "A taste for skiing" in Alta Badia.

Wines

Sommelier recommends...
Let yourself be seduced by the excellent wine list, composed with care and mastery (both Armin and Melanie are professional sommeliers). Key players – the wines of South Tyrol. There is, however, no lack of other excellent Italian and foreign wine brands. Unmissable appointments for wine connoisseurs are those of the projects "Sommelier on the Slopes" and "Wine Skisafari".

Melanie's sweet creations
Those who have a sweet tooth, will be certainly spoilt for choice at Piz Arlara. The most difficult task is to choose... Traditional strudels, apple fritters, boccia di pane, Kniekiechl, and lots of various pies, cakes (including wonderful Sacher) and other Melanie's mouth-watering creations, all homemade. And after 2.30 p.m. it's Schmarrn-Time with Kaiserschmarren and Apfelschmarren! Don't even try to resist...
